World's Largest Swimming Lesson
It’s Time To Get Back On Deck For The 12th Annual World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ on Thursday, June 17, 2021
Come join with aquatic centers and waterparks all around the globe as we learn about water safety and swim skills to spread the word that Swimming Lessons Save Lives™.
WHEN: Thursday, June 17th, 2:00-5:00 p.m.
WHERE: Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA
WHO: All ages, youth and adults, swimmers and non-swimmers
COST/REGISTRATION:
• Free to the community - space is limited to first 100 participants
• Register in person at the Y or click here to register online
• Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult
SCHEDULE:
• 2-3 p.m. - Marshalltown Police & Fire demonstration; rescue with boat and safety equipment
• 3-4 p.m. - Water safety & swimming skills with Marshalltown YMCA -YWCA Staff
• 4-5 p.m. - Story County Search & Rescue demonstration; life jackets, icy water safety, water rescue

Water Volleyball & Water Polo
COED INTRAMURAL WATER POLO
Join us as we introduce the sport of water polo to youth 10-18 years old. The intent of this clinic/intramural league is to provide basic skills and an understanding of this sport in a recreational format. The focus of the program will be in-water instruction on the fundamentals of the game such as passing and throwing. Must have passed the swim test to join!

June 6, 2021 11:00a.m.—1:00p.m. featuring clinician Blair VanStaalduine, former Iowa Hawkeye water polo player.
Cost: $10
Coed Intramural league for ages 10-18 yrs:

COED WATER VOLLEYBALL
Try this new program FREE during the month of June 2021. Come by yourself or with a team.
Water volleyball is a team sport derived from volleyball in which the games are played in water. Teams consist of 4-6 players. The court will be located in the warm water recreational pool. Please register for no charge weekly for the month of June. Walk in registrations welcome.
