COVID-19 Update March 16

An update for Y Members and Participants,

Although the Y facility is closed, we intend to keep you informed about what’s going on at the Y and ways that you can stay strong & healthy during this unprecedented time.  Please check the Y’s social media channels and website for daily updates.

We’re Here for You

Our management staff is in the office 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and available via phone, email, or walk-in to answer any questions. 

Deep Cleaning, Disinfecting & Maintenance

While the Y is closed, all full-time and some additional part-time staff will continue to report to work.  Staff will be deep cleaning and sanitizing all areas in both the Horne-Henry Center and the Cultural Center.  Staff are also utilizing this time to complete building repairs and maintenance projects.

Because of the work being completed during this time, the Y will not be closing at all this year for annual maintenance (previously scheduled for August 2020).

Fitness at Home

If you would like some help to remain fit at home during this crisis, we are excited to announce that we are providing free online options. 

  • MOSSA Move is available to all Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA members FREE for 60 days.  Click here to access the site.  Create your account access online workout videos.  Note:  A credit card is needed to create an account, but it will not be charged until after the 60-day trial ends.  You may cancel at any time.
  • YMCA 360 is the YMCA’s “on demand” healthy living network.  A variety of workouts are available free of charge on the YMCA 360 YouTube channel.  Click here to access the site.
